Take a night scene, underexpose it while having a rather sensitive film(like) medium, then push it to it’s maximum.
Grain galore!
Well, okay. I recently had a comment here telling me in italian - which is a nice language but a rather dumb choice for a comment on a german photoblog that is kept in english - that this photo is crap. I appreciate the idea of adding some international value to this blog but eventually decided that I didn’t like the way this happened, and thus the comment followed the path of the Dodo. Begone, spammer!
However, I understand that grain (or digital noise) is not everyone’s cup of tea and I do know that it exists in this photo to a really heavy extent. If you think you share this feeling about grain (or noise, whatever you think fits better here), please turn a blind eye to it and skip the next photo, too.
